Sri Lanka: Rebuilding houses for Tsunami Victims
Ken Faris, wrote to us about The SEAChange Initiative through which they are helping tsunami victims to rebuild their houses.
My colleagues and I have created a collective of existing, and new foundations that have the express goal of providing semi-permanent, clean, modern, and dignified housing to those effected by the tsunami. We are working closely with IcosaVillage and are in touch with the staff of the Sewalanka Foundation to coordinate and execute this effort. Further we are working with All-In-Vision and DomeLife productions to ensure through daily broadcast that those who donate will have live updates on exactly how their dollars are being spent.
You can visit our website at seaci.org to find out more about this effort.

This is the latest from The SEAChange Initiative to IcosaVillage and Markus Robinson. Included are many of thedays developments. In addition to that Jason Kreta has begun full time work on the project and is gearing up for the FEMA proposal as well as making up a master list of Ann Arbor Area organizations to contact for media broadcasting and fundraising support. Thanks Jason keep up the good work and congrats on your new found freedom. My next step for the evening is to copy these updates to the leading blogs. Thanks again to everyone involved and getting involved for your support and dedication. Soon we'll be there and buildign beuatiful new homes for Sri Lankans.
Hi Markus,
I just emailed an adminsitrator for UN releif efforts to direct them to our seaci.org site. As far as the FEMA is concerned Jason is in the process of writing the 4-5 page executive summary for the project which will give us the most definitive document to date on the effort and organizations invloveld. For lack of a better tool I would recommend that be used for the basis for the proposal to FEMA. I will call him immediately and get him up to speed. Please continue to update your latest news via the blog. From our side the Public Service Announcements are i their final phases and will be ready for tomorrow. Janean has been in touch with Viacom MTV and VHI news organizations as well as other national and local television and radio stations to further releases and secure conduits for the PSA's. We will meet with Detroit Radio stations WWJ ad WJLB on Friday as well as WQKL and 95.5 FM in the next week. Further the department of social work at teh University of Michigan is being notified as well through Jason's housemate a PHD student there. Chris Collins let me know that my blogs are being seen on the front page of many other relief sites and are being linked by other organizations so the network continues to evolve. If you could give me a call tomorrow at my desk so we can reconnect that would be great. If I'm not there just let me know it's you and I'll get right back to you.
Thanks
Ken
