Banks take action to track down employees
International banks and financial institutions have launched the largest programme since the September 11 2001 attacks in the US to track down employees after the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster.
Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Barclays among others confirmed they had activated search plans for employees, although they have yet to report any fatalities. One Bank of America employee was reported to have died in Sri Lanka.
