Most companies here in Bangalore (and I am sure in other cities) are soliciting at least a day's salary of each employee and donating the same to various relief funds. Many companies are also making an equivalent contribution to the amount donated by the employees. Some of them has even send volunteers to the affected areas. The NY celebrations in many offices has been called off and the money thus saved is diverted to charity. This is the least we can do as professionals!
