More ways to contribute from the USA

The National Federation of India Organizations has collected about $10,000 from its charitable accounts and is aiming for $100,000. Those wishing to send money toward relief efforts can do so to the following organizations —

As in the past on such occasions, The Times of India Group has taken the lead to rush assistance to the affected people by setting up a relief fund. We have decided to immediately contribute an amount of Rs 5 lakh to relief operations.


Readers wishing to contribute may please send cheques to 'Times Foundation' at either Delhi (Times House, 7, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, New Delhi - 110002) or Mumbai (Times of India, Dr D N Road, Mumbai - 400001).

All donations above Rs 1,000 will be acknowledged through the paper. Donations will be exempt from tax under Section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
