The community of Wangaratta has started an appeal to raise funds to aid those affected by the recent devastating tsunami.
As a city with a population of 27,000 living in relative comfort, in an area of great beauty and resources, we have an opportunity to share some of our good fortune.
We hope that this appeal will be ongoing after the Ten Days of Giving. By contributing funds raised to major aid organisations which are represented in Wangaratta we can ensure that almost all monies raised are used on the ground in the affected areas to help those in need to rebuild their own communities and lives in the long term.
