International express company DHL has offered its services to the Red Cross International and the Red Crescent to provide assistance in relief activities in countries affected by Sunday’s tsunami disaster.
It said it had mobilised its Global Disaster Relief Network team to work with local governments and non-profit organisations in the delivery of relief supplies and humanitarian assistance.
“Our global human resources (team) has also set up a Tide Relief Initiative Programme (Trip) to coordinate employee contributions and donations, which will be donated to an appropriate relief agency on Dec 31,” it said in a statement on Dec 30.
