Governments in Europe are attempting to help survivors of the Asian tsunami disaster to get back to their home countries.

British tourists in Bangkok should go to the British Embassy on Wireless Road, in the Lumpini District, for information on flights or call 2 305 8333. The country code is 66 if calling from outside Thailand.

Swedish tourists in Phuket should can go to the temporary Swedish Embassy at the Pearl Village Hotel (Nai Yang Beach and National Park). The telephone number is 7632 7006. Add country code 66 for calls from outside Thailand.

In Bangkok, the Swedish Embassy is on the 20th floor, 1 Pacific Plaza, 140 Sukhumvit Road. Telephone number is 2263 7200. Add 66 for outside calls.

In Colombo, the Swedish Embassy is at 49 Bullers Lane. Telephone number is 11 479 5400. Add country code 94 for calls from outside Sri Lanka.
