Kuwait relief committee delegation arrives in Jakarta

Kuwaiti relief committee delegation arrived here Saturday to have a close look on the tragic conditions in the devastated Indonesian region of Aceh and evaluate the volume of aid that should be speeded up to the victims. Upon arrival, the delegation was received at the airport by the Kuwaiti Ambassador here Mohammad Fadhel Khalaf and the embassy diplomat Mahdi Al-Ajmi.

The delegation includes five figures representing Kuwait charitable and humanitarian societies in Asia for distributing aid to the victims. Head of delegation Jasem Al-Yasin told KUNA today the delegation's role focuses on evaluating the conditions in the devastated region and coordinating with the concerned institutions on how to distribute the aid to the victims. The delegation held a meeting with official, non-government and parliamentary authorities to discuss the work plan and to begin the aid distribution operation.
