India: Appeal For Aid - Charities Aid Foundation

Charities Aid Foundation India was set up in India in 1998 and is part of the CAF International network.

Charities Aid Foundation India has extensive experience in disaster relief and rehabilitation. We have worked very closely with corporations, institutions, government and individuals during previous disasters including the Gujarat Earthquake, Floods in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Bihar and Assam.

Charities Aid Foundation India’s Tsunami relief and rehabilitation programme is being undertaken in three phases:
a)Immediate relief
b)Mid-term relief and rehabilitation
c)Long-term rehabilitation

Target
Charities Aid Foundation India targets to raise Rs. 10 Crores (USD 2.33 millions) for Tsunami Relief and Rehabilitation work and has set up the Charities Aid Foundation - Disaster Relief Fund.

Pondicherry
Cuddalore
Nagapattinam in Tamilnadu
Andhra Pradesh

Funds will be utilized for:
Rebuilding Houses –
Providing Occupational Aid - Boats for Fisherman
Reconstruction of Schools, Dispensaries (social infrastructure)

Contributions
All contributions are exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act

All cheques are to be crossed and made payable to Charities Aid Foundation India and sent to
