India: Help a child get back to school

Narain wrote to us about his effort in getting TN kids get back to school:

We along with the Akshara Advertising agency has launched a website aiming at helping children in TN to get back to their school. As you aware of the fact that, they lost all the things, we tried to help them with basic School support materials.

The cost of each kit is Rs.225 (approx US$ 5) and you can do your bit, by visiting this link.

Please contact Narain who's one of the initiators of this drive for more information.

Crescent Educational Society has has initiated education of children in crisis and to enroll child labour in Crescent Upper Primary School. We are being supported by Paulas School, Netherlands in construction of our school. Now after tsunami the drop out of girl children is more in Prakasam District due to financial constraint. We are planning to provide inhouse education for 100 girl children between the age group from 8 years to 12 years. Any individuals or organisations can support this project.
